I carried the Olympic flame with one wish: to return to the Games not as a torchbearer, but as an Olympian.
In December 2017, selected through Samsung's storytelling competition, I had the honor of representing Iran as an Olympic Torchbearer, alongside a group of distinguished Iranians from various fields, including renowned actor Bahram Radan.
During my 100-meter relay, as I carried the Olympic flame and prepared to pass it to the next torchbearer, I was asked to make a wish. Mine was simple: that one day, I would stand on the other side of that flame—not carrying it, but competing at the Olympic Games as an athlete.
It remains one of the most unforgettable moments of my life: carrying a small part of the Olympic flame across the world, while quietly dreaming it would one day lead me back to the Games myself.
